1 tablespoon of mentsuyu (1 teaspoon of soy sauce if not available)
1 tablespoon of white wine (or mirin)

Wash the rice and soak in water for at least 30 minutes.
Cut the carrots and mushrooms to bite-sized pieces, and cut the ginger into strips.
Add the seasonings, water, and ginger to the rice after it has been drained, and mix. Then, place the
mushrooms and carrots on top.
If you have a rice cooker: Cook the rice as is and it's done. After cooking, leave it to steam for a while
without opening the lid to make it taste better.
If you don't have a rice cooker: Cover and heat over medium heat. Once it boils, reduce heat to low and cook
for 15 minutes. Then turn off the heat, leave it to steam for at least 10 minutes, and it's done.
